Man killed in altercation outside Surrey coffee shop
Police do not believe the incident was gang-related

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is investigating an altercation that left one man dead in Surrey early Saturday.
Homicide police are investigating an incident that left a 47-year-old man dead early Saturday morning in Surrey.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team say the man was killed during an altercation that occurred around 4:40 a.m. in the 18300-block of Fraser Highway.
One man was arrested, and police say he remains in custody.
Police do not believe the incident was gang-related.
“We believe the two men knew each other and there is no further risk to public safety,” IHIT said.
Centric Culinary, a coffee shop at the corner of Fraser Highway and 184th Street, was cordoned off by police tape Saturday morning.
A body covered by a tarp could be seen in the cafe’s parking lot.
No names were released.
