Taxi driver held at knife point in terrifying robbery – Derbyshire Live

Police have launched an appeal after a taxi driver was held at knife point in a robbery.

The incident happened in Warwick Court in Somercotes, on Sunday at around 12.50am.

According to officers, a woman got into the back seat of the taxi and restrained the driver in his seat, while a man opened the passenger door, produced a knife and demanded cash.

The driver handed over cash and his PDA device was also taken.

He says the pair then walked off in the direction of Belvoir Way.

Derbyshire police are urging witnesses or those who may have information to come forward as those responsible have yet to be found.
