Community outreach director for AFL Europe Fiona Hill said: “Community engagement is one of our core values and throughout this campaign, our associates showed us how they were living it. Their passion to help others was evident.”

The global manufacturer of fiber optic cable, equipment and accessories used a variety of gaming-themed concepts for this year’s campaign which was dubbed Game On.

The annual campaign engages and educates associates and employees around the world about the charities and non-profit community groups in their areas.

During the campaign, these associates are asked to consider donating generously to help others in need of support and care.

The dedicated team of nurses and staff at Prospect Hospice provide dedicated end-of-life care for people with terminal illnesses from its Wroughton base which costs millions of pounds a year to maintain.

Headway Swindon offers a valuable support system for those who have suffered from a brain injury, helps them relearn skills and regain confidence as well as fundraising for research into this type of injury.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance has been saving lives around the county since 1990 with its helicopter emergency medical service that relies on corporate partnerships and donations to keep flying.

Threshold Housing Link supports the homeless by offering short, medium and long-term accommodation to rough sleepers in Swindon and has worked with the borough council on a new homeless strategy.

AFL is based in South Carolina, USA and runs the Imagine That annual fundraising campaign every May. This year, its associates donated a whopping grand total of $506k to dozens of different communities all over the world.
