Dramatic CCTV has emerged showing a ram raid at a vape shop in Pontarddulais last night.

The images reveal two men using a wooden plank and a car to bust open the doors to St Teilo’s Street’s ‘Deluxe Vapours.’

Further CCTV footage from inside the shop shows two hooded men running around ransacking the shop before fleeing with a number of stolen goods.

The thieves made off with a number of expensive vaping tools in the early hours of Friday morning.

Shop owner, Simon Bell, said: “Deluxe Vape Co was burgled at around 3:20am on Friday 12th July. Me and my business partner Andrew Hughes were alerted by the alarm company and headed straight up to Pontarddulais, where the police were already in attendance.”

“The thieves made away with a substantial amount of e-cigarette kits and eliquids.”

“We are saddened by this as it’s the third attempt on one of the stores. Picton arcade in Swansea was broken into a while back and the Ammanford store also had an attempted break in.”

As of yet the value and scope of the stolen goods is unknown.

“Scenes of crime didn’t come in until later and our main concern was to secure the shop as we had to get a new door,” added the shop owner.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: “Police in Swansea are investigating a burglary at Deluxe Vapours in St Teilo Street, which occurred at approximately 3.45am this morning (Friday, July 12).”
