Police officers are looking for a blue Volvo after a Co-op store was burgled in the middle of the night.
Nottinghamshire Police received reports of the burglary just before 12.30am on Thursday, July 11.
It happened at the Bramcote Lane store in Chilwell and police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
The shop opened just over a year ago upon a £2.25 million investment in two new stores which created 30 jobs.
It has since shared CCTV footage of the incident with investigators.
A spokesman for the Co-op said: “We can confirm that a robbery took place at our Bramcote Lane store at around 12.30am on Thursday (11 July).
“CCTV coverage has been shared with the police, who are investigating, and we would ask anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
“We work closely with Police and crime prevention bodies and implement a range of measures designed to deter and disrupt criminal behaviour.”
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: “Nottinghamshire Police was called just before 12.30am to reports of a break in.
“Officers believe a blue Volvo may have been involved in the incident.
“If you saw what happened or have any information about the blue Volvo, call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 14 of 11 July 2019.”
