Ambulance service statement after crash caused huge delays on A37 – Somerset Live

The ambulance service has issued a statement following a crash on the A37 yesterday (July 10).

The collision involved a van and a car and happened near the Bath and West Showground, near Shepton Mallet, just before 5pm.

The incident caused delays for motorists who use the A37 to commute on a daily basis, with the crash happening at rush hour.

Police officers and paramedics were both called to deal with the aftermath of the collision.

A spokesperson for South West Ambulance Service said: “We were called on Wednesday at 3.39pm about a road traffic incident on the A37 near Street on the Fosse.

“Our ambulance crews treated two patients at the scene, and conveyed them onto hospital for further care.”
