A man was shot dead in the Bronx, and four people were injured in Brooklyn when a gunman opened fire early Friday — among six shootings in a bloody five-hour span in the Big Apple overnight, police said.

The four were injured when someone opened fire on Elton Street near Sutter Avenue in East New York just after midnight.

Among the injured were a 30-year-old man who was shot in the chest and a 25-year-old woman who was hit in the shoulder, cops said.

Both were taken to Brookdale Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition.

Another man was shot in the lower back and arrived at Brookdale on his own, officials said.

A fourth man, 28, was taken to Jamaica Hospital with a gunshot wound to his neck.

A person of interest was in custody at the 75th Precinct, although no arrests had been made.

An hour later, at 1:14 a.m., police discovered a 40-year-old man in the basement of a house on Crotona Avenue near East 187th Street in the Bronx, officials said. He had been shot in the torso.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, but he could not be saved.

The suspect had fled by the time police showed up, authorities said.

Just a few hours later, at about 3:30 a.m., in Crown Heights, a 37-year-old man was shot in the torso while sitting in his Nissan Maxima, police said.

After being shot, he attempted to drive himself to the hospital — but went too fast around a corner and flipped his car over.

Meanwhile, his shooter fled and is still on the loose, police said.

Around 4 a.m. in front of a house on Hoe Avenue near East 172nd Street in the Bronx, a 20-year-old man was shot in the head and leg, police said.

He was rushed to St. Barnabas in critical condition, and cops are still searching for his attacker.

Less than an hour later, two more 20-year-old men were shot in separate incidents — one in the abdomen near West 123rd Street and 7th Avenue in Harlem and the other in the calf on Grant Avenue near East 165th Street in Morrisania, police said.

The first was taken to Harlem Hospital and the second to Lincoln Medical Center. Both are expected to survive, according to cops.
