Paul Doczi now faces charges of aggravated assault, break and enter, and theft. Police expect more charges in the near future.
A man has been arrested in connection with an early morning home invasion and assault that took place in Vancouver’s West End on Friday.
Around 6:30 a.m. on June 14, police were called to a Beach Avenue apartment near Jervis Street after a woman was attacked in her home by someone who entered through an unlocked patio door. The 29-year-old resident was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries and a suspect had fled before police arrived.
On Monday, Vancouver police announced that a 50-year-old man had been arrested and charged in the home invasion.

“This was a priority investigation and we are pleased we were able to get the suspect into custody fairly quickly,” said Vancouver police Sgt. Jason Robillard “We are continuing to support the victim in this assault and wish her a speedy recovery.”
