An air ambulance has landed at a primary school in Stanford-le-Hope.

At around 9am this morning (June 18), concerned witnesses in the area reported seeing a helicopter landing at the Giffards Primary School field in Queen Elizabeth Drive.

The school is located just a short drive away from popular local businesses such as Impulse Leisure and The Springhouse social club.

A spokesperson at the school confirmed to Essex Live that the air ambulance had landed in the school field, but denied that there was any incident at the school itself.

At this time, it remains unknown why the air ambulance landed in Stanford-le-Hope, although the East of England Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
