Surrey RCMP arrest trio following theft of two Honda Civics

Three people have been arrested after being spotted by Surrey RCMP allegedly driving a stolen Honda Civic to steal a second Honda Civic.

Three people have been arrested and charged after allegedly driving a stolen Honda Civic into Richmond to steal another Honda Civic.

On May 21 around 2 p.m., Surrey RCMP auto theft investigators found a stolen Honda Civic near 159 Street and 87 Avenue. With help from canine officers and a helicopter, police followed at a distance as the trio inside the stolen Civic drove into Richmond.

Once in Richmond, the Civic parked and two of the occupants exited. The pair then allegedly stole a second Honda Civic before both vehicles drove off.

Investigators continued to follow both vehicles until they were safely stopped before moving in to arrest the trio.

Rajveer Dosanjh, a 31-year-old Surrey resident, is charged with:
• Theft of automobile
• Possession of stolen property
• Possession of instrument for purpose of breaking into a vehicle
• Prohibited driving

Kyle Vipond, a 26-year-old Surrey resident, is charged with:
• Theft of automobile

Tia Pozdnikoff, a 26-year-old Langley resident, is charged with:
• Knowingly being an occupant in a stolen vehicle

Dosanjh and Vipond are both known to police and had been identified as priority offenders.
