A serious crash has closed a popular mountain road in the Brecon Beacons.
Emergency services were called to the crash on the A4069 Black Mountain road in Carmarthenshire on Sunday afternoon.
The crash took place near the popular viewing point and car park on the Llangadog side of the mountain.
No details of the vehicles involved or of any casualties have yet been released, but Dyfed-Powys Police have described the collision as “serious”.
An image of the incident released by police appears to show an air ambulance at the scene.
The road has been closed, and police are urging motorists to use an alternative route.
The A4069 runs from Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen to Llangadog, and its twisting route has made it famous as one of the best drives in Wales.
It’s known by many as the “Top Gear Road” after the popular TV series filmed there.
