A person has been taken to hospital following an incident on Pensarn Beach.
The Wales Air Ambulance, RNLI, coastguard and police were all involved in helping someone on the beach on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3pm after reports of “concerns for a person’s safety”.
The air ambulance landed on the beach as two lifeboats assisted at the water’s edge.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called today at approximately 3.10pm to an incident at Pensarn Beach, Abergele.
“We responded with one rapid response vehicle, one emergency ambulance, one air ambulance and were supported by coastguard colleagues, where one person was taken by road ambulance to Glan Clwyd Hospital, Rhyl .”
The extent of the person’s injuries, and how they came to be injured, has not been disclosed.
Police said they were called at 2.34pm regarding “concerns for the safety of an individual at Pensarn Beach”.
They added: “We attended, to assist colleagues from other emergency services.”
