St John Ambulance is searching for the nation’s lifesavers, health heroes and community stars ahead of its 2019 Everyday Heroes awards.
The awards celebrate individuals, groups and teams who have stepped forward in the moments that matter, saving lives with first aid or impacting community health through volunteering.
There are three categories – young hero, community hero and workplace hero – and outstanding contributions from St John Ambulance volunteers will also be recognised.
Last year’s winners included a teenager who went to the rescue of a stabbing victim outside her home, a father and son team who saved the life of a former Olympic boxer when he collapsed on their golf course and a football medical team who successfully resuscitated five people who suffered cardiac arrests at their stadium since it opened.
The Everyday Heroes awards ceremony will take place in London on October 7.
Nominations must be made by 7 June. For more information, go to www.sja.org.uk/nominate.
