AN air ambulance and a fire engine were called to an incident on Walney.
A North West Air Ambulance was seen flying overhead by members of the public.
The air ambulance which has attended the scene has come from Blackpool and is called the helimed, which is one of three helicopters under the North West Air Ambulance service.
Barrow station manager Paul Milburn said: “We were alerted to come to the scene at 1.45pm.
“The incident involved a collision between a motorcyclist and a car.
“During the incident we used three appliances – two from Barrow and one from Ulverston – and there were two managers at the scene.”
The North Scale road was closed due to the incident.
