More than 10 days after human remains were found in a car belonging to Danniella Vian, Mobile Police Department said Tuesday that the cause of death is undetermined and the circumstances in which her vehicle ended up submerged near to a boat ramp in Saraland appear accidental.
The young mother, 26, was last seen July 18 after socializing with friends in West Mobile. Her car was found by police divers May 3 who were training at the Bayou Sara river near Saraland.
Mobile Police Department said that it believes the human remains very likely belong to Vian, although forensic tests are still being carried out.
“Based on autopsy results, Danniella Vian’s cause of death is undetermined,” said the MPD release. “Preliminary investigation has revealed that the condition as to how Vian’s car was found in Bayou Sara is consistent with that of an accident. The investigation into her death will remain ongoing.”
