Staffordshire Police officers have made arrests after a 102-year-old woman was the victim of a burglary in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Sometime overnight between Saturday 27 April and Sunday 28 April, offenders gained entry to the property in the Westlands area, and proceeded to ransack rooms in search of valuable items.
They made off with a handbag containing cash and debit cards, jewellery, pottery and silverware.
Thankfully the woman was unharmed, but has been left shaken.
A 45-year-old man and a 50-year-old man, both from Stoke-on-Trent, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
A 43-year-old man, also from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of a controlled drug.
A 33-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession of a bladed article.
They all remain in custody at this time and enquiries are on-going.
