Paramedics ‘restart man’s heart’ after air ambulance called to high-rise flats – Stoke-on-Trent Live
Paramedics were able to restart a man’s heart after they were called to an emergency at a high-rise block of flats.
Emergency services were called to a ‘medical incident’ at The Keep, off Milton Grove in Stafford’s Highfields estate, just before 3pm yesterday.
The Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene alongside police officers before the man, believed to be in his 40s, was taken to hospital via land ambulance.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a cardiac arrest at an address off Milton Grove at 2.32pm yesterday.
“Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford, with a doctor on board, attended the scene.
“Crews carried out advanced life support at the scene and were able to restart the man’s heart. He was conveyed to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.”
