Six arrested on suspicion of murder as man who has car driven at him during brawl in north west London dies
Nine men have been arrested, including six on suspicion of murder, after a man who had a car driven at him during a brawl in north west London later died.
Police said they launched a murder investigation after the “violent altercation” left a 27-year-old man dead and a 21-year-old injured.
Nine men were arrested on suspicion of affray at the scene outside Alperton Underground Station in Wembley just before 1.30am on Tuesday.
Six have been further arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.
Officers said a car was driven at the men on Tuesday morning and both required medical attention.
The 21-year-old was later discharged while the 27-year-old remained in hospital.
“His condition was not initially thought to be life-threatening; however his condition deteriorated and he died in hospital on the evening of Tuesday, 16 April,” Scotland Yard said in a statement.
His family have been informed.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are now leading this investigation and are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area who has information or any passing motorist with dashcam footage to get in touch as a matter of urgency.
