A man has died days after being repeatedly stabbed in London’s West End.
The 37-year-old was knifed in Romilly Street, in the capital’s busy Soho district, at about 6am on Sunday.
Paramedics rushed him to hospital with critical injuries but he was pronounced dead at 7.42pm on Wednesday.
Hours after the man was stabbed, at about 11.30am on Sunday, a 16-year-old boy was knifed in University Street, Camden, in what Scotland Yard has described as a linked attack.
The victim of that attack suffered serious injuries, police said today.
A 34-year-old man was charged on Monday with two counts of attempted murder in relation to the two incidents.
The Met Police said the charge for attempted murder will now be subject to a review by the Crown Prosecution Service.
A woman, 41, who was arrested and released remains under investigation.
A spokesman added: “His next of kin are aware. Formal identification awaits.
“A post mortem examination is due to be held in due course.”
