Lea Salonga has announced her upcoming UK tour, which had a date in Birmingham, has been rescheduled following a skiing accident.
The broadway singer and actress broke her leg during a skiing trip in Japan, and revealed she’s been given strict advice by doctors “not to travel for the next several weeks”.
The Birmingham date of her UK tour was due to take place at the Symphony Hall on Friday March 1.
This date has now been rescheduled to Thursday July 11, 2019 at 7:30pm.
Any pre-bought tickets will remain valid for the new date.
If this rescheduled date is unsuitable then you will be entitled to a full refund – you’ll need to return your tickets to the Symphony Hall by March 29, 2019 before your refund can be processed.
Tickets bought on a credit/debit card will be refunded back to the card you paid with.
If you purchased tickets by another method or the card you paid with has expired, a refund will be made by cheque within 28 days of receipt of your tickets – if you’ve changed address since buying the tickets, make sure you let the Symphony Hall know so your cheque doesn’t get lost in the post!
Lea Salonga is known for her roles as the singing voices for Princess Jasmin in Aladdin and Fa Mulan in Mulan and Mulan II.
She’s also known for originating the lead role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon, and for being the first actress of Asian descent to play the roles of Eponine and Fantine in the musical Les Miserables on Broadway.
Alongside her musical theatre career, she’s a judge on the Phillipines version of ‘The Voice’.
If all that isn’t enough, she’s sold a staggering 19 millions albums worldwide to date, making her one of the best-selling Filipina artists of all time.
