A man has been arrested after allegedly carrying a sword on train.
Armed police descended on Dartford station shortly before 12.45pm on Friday and arrested a 23-year-old man on the platform.
Video footage posted on social media shows a man being escorted out of the station by police officers.
One of the officers appears to be holding a long blade.
One person wrote on Twitter: “Excellent response to person with large knife/sword on London bound train.”
“He was spotted at Greenhithe but staff were not allowed to hold up the train,” another added.
Both British Transport Police (BTP) and Kent Police were called to the scene and the man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
There were no reported injuries and the incident is not believed to be terror-related, BTP said.
During the arrest a Taser device was drawn but not deployed, they added.
