SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Dispatchers in Kanwaha County say that they are getting reports of power outages late Friday night after a car accident in the Sissonville area.
According to American Electric Power’s outage map, more than 4,000 customers are without power in the surrounding area.
According to Metro 911, a driver hit a telephone pole in the area of Martins Branch Road and Harlow Lane.
Everyone made it out of the car, but it is not clear if there are injuries.
The cause for the outage listed on the AEP outage map says “distribution station.”
Power is expected to be restored around 5:30 Saturday morning.
