(KSFY) – UPDATE: Authorities have reopened one lane of traffic on Interstate 29 after a semi crash temporarily closed the roadway.
The semi crashed on the nortbhound lane Wednesday morning one mile north of Beresford. Troopers say the passing lane of northbound I-29 is now open.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety has advised drivers across eastern South Dakota to be careful on the roads due to icy conditions.
A semi accident has blocked traffic on one lane of Interstate 29 in southeast South Dakota.
The accident took place Wednesday morning at mile marker 48, a mile north of Beresford.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, northbound traffic is being rerouted at the Beresford exit.
Crews are working to remove the semi, which rolled and came to a stop across both lanes of the Interstate.
There is no word yet on any injuries. The Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
