Police have arrested two men in Rochester for kidnapping a woman this weekend.

Rochester, N.Y. – Police have arrested two men in Rochester for kidnapping a woman this weekend.

Officers said they received information Saturday night about a possible kidnapping where a woman was being held against her will for ransom.

The suspects threatened to kll the woman if her boyfriend failed to meet their demands, according to police.

After contacting the boyfriend, police said they worked to find the suspects and rescue the woman.

Later Saturday night, police said they found a vehicle of interest on Augustine Street.

After trying to pull the vehicle over, police said a pursuit began.

The vehicle eventually crashed into two parked cars on Ridgeway Avenue, with the suspects getting out on running away.

Police took Isaiah Nesmith, 27, and Anthony Wiggins, 27, into custody.

One of them was injured from being bitten by a dog from an RPD K-9 unit.

Both have been charged with 1st degree kidnapping.

Police said the victim was found safely inside the crashed car. Investigators said she was forcibly taken from her residence in Rochester, and moved around the city as the suspects demanded money for her release.
