Man charged with firearm and burglary offences after Nunsthorpe ‘disturbance’

A man is due to appear in court after a “disturbance” in a Grimsby street.

He is charged with possession of a firearm, aggravated burglary and criminal damage in connection with an incident at a house in Caistor Drive, on the Nunsthorpe estate, shortly after 4am on November 15.

Mark Goodman, 24, of no fixed abode, is remanded to appear at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court this morning.

On Saturday, Humberside Police issued a statement in a bid to reassure the public.

Chief Superintendent Darren Wildbore said: “We believe this was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider public.”

A police spokesperson said “no-one was injured in the disturbance” and anyone with any further information is asked to call 101 quoting log 41 of November 15.
