SAGINAW (WJRT) – (11/18/18) – This time of year it is all about giving and Mobile Medical Transport is doing its part.
Saturday MMR held a Stuff the Ambulance event in Saginaw at the Meijer on Gratiot Road.
Employees collected unwrapped new gifts and toys for The Underground Railroad and toiletries for military care packages.
The donations were pouring in from people like Robin Elder.
“Pretty awesome. We came out here today to pick up a prescription for my mom and we saw the Stuff the Ambulance, and immediately Adeline wanted to get some toys for kids,” Elder said. “And she’s got an older sister that’s in the Marines so we wanted to get some items for the military too so we got some stuff to send to her mom and we just feel really really blessed.”
Brian Howey, an MMR EMT, was happy to volunteer his time.
“I love it. I love being able to help. That’s why I’m here. That’s why I do what I do is just being able to help people,” Howey said.
If you want to help stuff the ambulance you can do so Sunday (11/18) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
