Oh, Fred.

What’s going wrong in Bedrock?

You used to sing in a barbershop quartet with Barney on kids’ TV, and now you’re getting arrested in bare feet with a souped-up smart car.

A police department claimed on their social media that Fred Flintstone, AKA Don Swartz, became so ‘unruly’ after he was pulled over for speeding that he had to be detained.

Why did you do it, Fred (Picture: Pasco Sheriffs Office)
Pasco Sheriff's Office November 4 at 8:43 PM ? On Sunday, November 4, Deputy H. Echevarria pulled over a Mr. Fred Flinstone (AKA Don Swartz) for speeding in the Meadow Bedrock Pointe Subdivision in Wesley Chapel. Mr. Flinstone was issued a citation for speed and became unruly and had to be detained. After further investigation, Mr. Flinstone was issued a Notice To Appear and released. Deputy Echevarria then seized the vehicle which is now part of the PSO fleet. This is what Intelligence-Led Policing looked like in the stone age. A very special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Don and Trina Swartz for being such great sports... Yabba Dabba Doo!

Their post claimed police seized the vehicle, so he won’t even be able to use it at Slate Rock and Gravel anymore.

‘Deputy Echevarria then seized the vehicle which is now part of the PSO fleet. This is what Intelligence-Led Policing looked like in the stone age,’ they claimed.

Unfortunately for the genre of people getting arrested looking ridiculous, it was a joke.

You can tell because officers claim he was pulled over in the Meadow Bedrock Pointe Subdivision in Wesley Chapel.

We’re quite relieved Fred didn’t turn out to be a reprobate, though.

Otherwise, it would have been worse than that time Father Christmas let us all down.

Lots of people found it hilarious in the comments.

Patrick Coy responded: ‘Next time you decide to mess with the Pasco County Sherriff’s Office, yabba dabba DON’T.’

Tammy Fraley added: ‘Omg don’t give him a ticket. Take picture I love the Flintstones I watch them daily.’
