ACT Police have released new CCTV footage of suspected murder victim, Safa Annour, pleading with anyone holding information about the two-year-old’s death to come forward.
The toddler died on April 30 as a result of fatal internal bleeding and blunt force trauma.
A post-mortem examination found the injuries were caused by another person.
The footage published by police on Monday shows Safa and another child being accompanied by an older woman on Sturt Avenue, Narrabundah at around 9.40am on April 29.
Police have confirmed that the woman is not a suspect but are calling for the public to help identify her, saying she could provide vital information to the ongoing murder investigation.
Two other people have been identified as being responsible for Safa’s care during the time it is believed she suffered fatal injuries.
Last month police published footage of Safa at 8.40am on the day she died. It showed the toddler and another child on a bus accompanied by an adult.
She appeared uninjured and was seen waving to the driver as she hopped off the bus on Stuart Street, Griffith.
Police are urging anyone with information that could assist in their investigation, to contact the detectives directly on 0427 598 207 or Crime Stoppers online or on 1800 333 000
