A peadophile’s vile abuse of a 14-year-old girl was exposed after she visited the GP for emergency contraception.
Ritin Parbat, 21, lured his victim with flattery, money and presents to establish a long-distance campaign of sexual abuse.
He was discovered when the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, went to her doctor to ask for the morning after pill.
After it was reported to the police, messages discovered on his phone showed how he aimed to win the affections of the child and impress her over three months at the beginning of the year.
Police also found a number of sex toys in Parbat’s possession with one showing a positive DNA match from the victim, reports the Oxford Mail.
A police spokesperson said that Parbat contacted the girl through phone and text messages before travelling 84 miles from Walsall to Oxfordshire to abuse her.
When the investigation uncovered damning evidence, Parbat was left with no choice and admitted the offences at Oxford Crown Court.
Parbat, of Westville Road, Walsall, was jailed for two years and three months and handed a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).
It is now hoped his young victim can recover from the abuse and trauma suffered during her ordeal, police said.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Bryan Groves of Banbury Force CID, said: ‘Parbat has rightly been sentenced to prison.
‘He targeted the victim and sought to impress her with money and gifts, he manipulated her and took advantage of her to try and hide his wrongdoing.
‘Thames Valley police take any allegations of sexual abuse of children very seriously and we will seek to bring to justice anyone who abuses children.
‘I hope the victim in this case will be able to overcome this abuse and lead a happy life.’
