STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police allege that a person was slashed with a box cutter and another person was punched in a violent robbery in Mariners Harbor.
Suspects Stefon Webb, 23, and Ibrahim Dimson, 19, both of Holland Avenue, were apprehended this week in connection with the incident that occurred at about 11 p.m. on Oct. 27 on Spartan Avenue, according to the criminal complaint and police.
Webb allegedly held a box cutter to one victim’s throat and, according to the criminal complaint, said: “Give me your s–t. You cannot run.”
Webb then allegedly slashed the victim across the right side of his torso, causing an injury that required 12 staples, the criminal complaint said.
Dimson allegedly punched the second victim multiple times in the face, causing injuries that included bruising and swelling in the right eye.
Both victims’ injuries required hospital treatment, the criminal complaint said.
The suspects allegedly fled with an iPhone and a pair of iPhone headphones, the criminal complaint said.
Webb was previously convicted of assault in September 2015 and sentenced to a conditional discharge, the criminal complaint said.
Webb, who stands 6 feet tall and weighs about 165 pounds, was arrested at the 121st Precinct stationhouse on Tuesday, according to police and public records.
Dimson, who stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 220 pounds, was arrested on Wednesday at the 120th Precinct stationhouse in St. George, according to police and public records
The victims were strangers to the suspects and Dimson is thought to have followed them along the street, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.
Both suspects have been charged with multiple counts of robbery, assault and criminal possession of stolen property, according to the criminal complaint.
