Okmulgee police release surveillance video after KFC armed robbery (Okmulgee Police)

Okmulgee police have released surveillance video they hope will help them find three suspects who broke into KFC a week ago and assaulted an employee.

Officers responded to the restaurant off Wood Drive at 8 a.m. on Oct. 12 after receiving a report of a robbery. An employee told officers two light-skinned black men broke a glass pane and confronted the worker with a handgun. The employee heard a third man but never saw him.

Both suspects were wearing face covering and one had short dreadlocks with blonde tips.

Police say the suspects hit the employee in the face and forced them to hand over their keys, which they used to open a safe and take an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects took off. The employee was not seriously injured.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Okmulgee Police at 918-756-3511 or through Facebook.
