A 13-year-old girl has died after an accident on a Staffordshire road.
Police and paramedics were called to the River Drive junction with Fazeley Road in Tamworth at around 7pm on Friday (October 12) following a collision involving the girl and a black Hyundai Tuscon.
The teenager, who Staffordshire Police have this morning identified as Jorja Deborah Fisher, was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with serious injuries – before dying a short time later.
Police say her family are being supported by specialist officers and are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
A spokeswoman said: “An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is now underway by officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 718 of October 12,”
