A man accused of murdering a mother-of-two at a regional Victorian home has not appeared in court after problems in custody.
The body of Dannyll Goodsell was located by authorities after a small fire tore through a Kenworth Place home in Ballarat on Friday morning.
Authorities allege Ms Goodsell, who moved to Victoria some years ago, suffered serious injuries prior to her death.
Investigators arrested Scott Cameron, 35, and charged him with one count of murder on Saturday afternoon.
Mr Cameron did not appear as scheduled in Ballarat Magistrates’ Court this morning after issues in custody.
His lawyer did not apply for bail on the accused’s behalf.
Mr Cameron has been ordered to re-appear on February 7 next year.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
