ANCHORAGE (KTUU) – A suspect appeared in court Saturday accused of two separate shootings within hours of each other that left one person dead and another with life threatening injuries.
Dashawn Street, 25, faces six charges including first-degree murder, second-degree murder and attempted murder.
One of the shootings allegedly took place outside a South Anchorage fast food truck on the 29th of Sept. and sent a man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Anchorage police said a second shooting in a Mountain View apartment block later that morning left 24-year-old Fa’avea Seau dead.
Street was arrested Friday afternoon on Medfra Street in Fairview after he allegedly rammed his car into several APD vehicles.
Charging documents submitted at the hearing Sarturday describe the investigation that went into identifying and tracking down Street. The investigation, dubbed by APD as ‘aggressive,’ included tracking Street’s cellphone and listening to calls that were allegedly made from Goose Greek Correctional Facility to Street.
Street is being held in lieu of a $200,000 cash performance bond and a $250,000 cash appearance bond.
