A council worker has been arrested on suspicion of grooming and attempting to meet a child.
The worker was caught by the Predator Exposure group, a vigilante team that uses decoy social media accounts posing as children to catch predators.
The man arranged to meet, what he believed was a 13-year-old girl, by New Pudsey train station in Leeds on 30 September.
However, Predator Exposure claimed the account was actually a fake one run by the group.
A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police said: ‘Officers from Leeds District Safeguarding Unit are investigating an offence of an adult attempting to meet a girl aged under 16 following grooming.
‘A man from Leeds was arrested on Sunday, 30 September, in Pudsey following a call from members of the public.
‘He was released on conditional bail the following day pending further enquiries.’
A Bradford Council spokesperson said: ‘We understand a man has been arrested and the police are investigating.’
