AN air ambulance was called and one person taken to hospital following an incident in a residential property on Wednesday morning.
The Great North Air Ambulance helicopter landed close to Hampden Street in the South Bank area of Middlesbrough.
Crews from the air ambulance joined those from the North East Ambulance Service to assist with an incident unfolding at a domestic address, with police also believed to be in attendance at the scene.
A spokeswoman for the NEAS said that the service had deployed four resources, including the air ambulance, to the incident after being called at 8.17am.
She said one patient was transported by road to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough but could not confirm any other details.
No further information has been released as yet in connection with the incident.
