A MAN has died in a farm accident in Co Tipperary this morning.
Gardai say that the man was working on a digger at the time he was fatally injured after 8am this morning at the pig farm in Rathcabbin, Borrisokane.
The man, 47 was pronounced dead at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the death are not yet known.
A spokesman for the Health and Safety Authority said an officer is on the way to the site and will be investigating.
A garda spokeswoman told the Irish Sun: “Gardai in Borrisokane were called to an incident at approximately 8.30am on September 27 2018 at a farm in Rathcabbin, Borrisokane.
“A 47-year-old man was fatally injured while working on a digger.
“The man was pronounced at scene. The HSA have been made aware.”
